TalkAboutSavingMoney provides a nice list of places to get senior discounts. But did you know that you only have to be 50 years old to get some of them?
You don’t have to be a member of a senior club to get most of these discounts. Just ask for them. For example, many hotels provide discounts for people 55 and older:
- 55 is the age at Best Western
- 60 at Choice Hotels (Clarion, Comfort Inn, Quality Hotels, etc.)
- 65 at La Quinta
Even grocery store provide discounts—people 55+ can save 5% at A&P, Superfresh, and Waldbaums on certain days. Kohl’s provides 15% off on Wednesdays.
