costco_logoCostco Wholesale stores offer great deals every day. But did you know that some things are on sale, even at Costco? It’s easy to spot marked-down items by the price tag.

Prices ending in .99 are full-priced and have not been marked down. They may still may be good deals because, after all, this is Costco.costco-99
Prices ending in .97 or .88 are deals decided by the manager. They are usually really good deals that you won’t see again. Once they are gone they are gone.costco-97
Prices ending in .49 or .79 are manufacturer’s specials. These are products that manufacturers are testing out at Costco, usually at a lower price than Costco will eventually sell them.costco-49-97
Prices ending in .00 are the best deals you will find in the store. These are items the manager is clearing out.costco-00
Price tags with an asterisk are discontinued items. A combination of a .97 and an asterisk means you are getting a last chance good deal.costco-asterisk
Kirkland brand items are also a good buy and high quality.

If you shop competitor Sam’s Club, look for anything that ends in a penny, such as $19.91 or $4.41, or anything marked with a “C” for clearance.
